Is P2P lending risky? +
Yes. Crowdlending carries a risk of capital loss, borrower default and platform failure. Several European platforms have gone bankrupt. Displayed rates are historical and guarantee nothing.
What does “regulated” mean? +
A regulated platform holds a licence (investment firm, IBF licence, PSFP approval…). This imposes obligations but does not remove the risk of loss.
How are platforms selected? +
We include notable European platforms, active or historically important, accessible to retail investors. Closed or defaulted platforms are kept for transparency.
Is the interest calculator reliable? +
It is a theoretical compound-interest projection, for educational purposes. It assumes a constant rate and ignores taxes, defaults and market variations.
